Beginning this month, the speed limit on U.S. 285 from mile post 0 to mile post 15, from the New Mexico/Texas state line to Loving will be reduced from 65 mph to 55 mph in order to reflect current conditions observed there. Read more...

The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) District Two will begin a project to make minor repairs to the bridge just North of Tularosa on US 54 at mile marker 81. The repairs will improve the ride quality on the approach to the northbound and southbound lanes. Read more...

01/20/16 - UPDATE - Closures for I-25/Missouri Avenue Project
Las Cruces: The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) along with FNF Construction will have some road closures. In order to complete the bridge placement, there will be a full closure of Missouri Avenue between Don Roser Drive and Triviz Drive each night beginning Tuesday, January 19th to Thursday, January 21st starting at 6:00PM and reopening at 6:00AM. 01/15/16 - I-10 Union Bridge at University - CLOSURE
Las Cruces – The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) District One office along with La Calerita Construction will have to close a section of Union Avenue as the contractor demos the eastbound bridge on I-10. This must be done in order for the contractor to reconstruct a new bridge overpass. The first phase (westbound lanes) construction has been completed and the second phase (eastbound lanes) construction is underway. Read more...

01/11/16 - I-40/Louisiana Ramp Reconstruction Begins Tonight
Albuquerque, NM – Reconstruction of the I-40/Louisiana eastbound on and off- ramps as well as a portion of Louisiana Boulevard, will begin tonight and last through early June, weather permitting. Initial phases of the reconstruction project will occur during overnight hours (9 p.m. – 5:30 a.m.) with later phases of the project taking place during both day and night hours. The project cost is $3.7 million and is designed to reduce congestion of the eastbound off-ramp, by adding one additional left turn lane onto northbound Louisiana. The project will also include on-ramp reconstruction, lighting, and signalization upgrades. Read more...
