08/16/16 - Traffic Alert NM 90 (MP 33.8 To MP 40.8)
Silver City: The New Mexico Department of Transportation District One office (NMDOT) has posted an alert for Thursday, August 18, 2016: The NMDOT along with Braiser Asphalt (Contractor) announces the following traffic alert information for NM 90 from MP 33.8 to MP 40.8: Braiser Asphalt will be performing roadway rehabilitation operations on NM 90 in Grant Co. Construction will begin Thursday, August 18, 2016 and is expected to be completed by fall 2016. Highway traffic will encounter a single lane drop at times. Motorists are asked to reduce speed, obey posted signs, and use extreme caution, and be cautious of personnel in the area. 08/15/16 - Traffic Advisory NM 344 Lane Closures To Begin August 16 - Edgewood
Santa Fe–The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) will begin roadway work and ADA improvements on NM 344 from mile marker 0.218 to mile marker 0.557 in Edgewood. Starting August 16, 2016, the NM 344 northbound lanes will be reduced to one lane. Northbound NM 344 will have a right lane closure and NM 344 / Church St. east side intersection closure that will remain in effect until mid-September. Lordsburg: The New Mexico Department of Transportation District One office (NMDOT) has posted an alert for Monday, August 15, 2016: The NMDOT along with Mountain States Constructors, Inc. (MSCI) announces the following traffic alert information for Interstate 10 (I-10) from MP 20 to MP 25.076: Mountain States Constructors, Inc. will be performing roadway rehabilitation operations to Interstate 10 (I-10) in Hidalgo Co. Construction will begin Monday, August 15, 2016 and is expected to be completed by fall 2016. Interstate traffic will encounter a single lane drop at times with eastbound and westbound exits closed off to all traffic as needed. Motorists are asked to reduce speed, obey posted signs, and use extreme caution, and be cautious of personnel in the area. The closure will be in affect from 4:00 am to 7:00 pm. Read more...

Santa Fe–The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) will begin pavement preservation work on US 84 from mile marker 236.5 to mile marker 246.5 south of Tierra Amarilla. 08/11/16 - Top 10 DWI Fugitive Arrested
Santa Fe, NM – Today, the New Mexico Department of Transportation announced one of the state’s top 10 DWI fugitives, Conrad Carmona, was captured by the New Mexico State Police and fugitive investigators from the New Mexico Corrections Department on Tuesday. On Friday, Carmona fled from supervision while on parole for the conviction of his eighth DWI. Carmona is back behind bars on a parole violation and is facing new charges for felon in possession of a firearm. Read more...

08/09/16 - Top 10 DWI Fugitive Arrested
Santa Fe, NM – Today, the New Mexico Department of Transportation announced one of the state’s top 10 DWI fugitives, Rigina Johns, was arrested by the Gallup Police Department on August 6. In June, Johns absconded from supervision after being convicted of her fifth DWI. This was the second time Johns ran from the law. She also absconded in 2013 after she was convicted of an aggravated DWI. Read more...

Truth or Consequences: The New Mexico Department of Transportation District One office (NMDOT) has posted an alert for Tuesday, August 9, 2016: Cutler Repaving announces the following pavement preservation information for NM 181, MM 0.00 to 12.00: The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) along with Cutler Repaving (Contractor) will be performing minor pavement preservation operations. Construction will begin Tuesday, August 9, 2016 and is expected to be completed by the end of October. Traffic will encounter a single lane drop with a flag man and pilot car operation from 7 am to 6 pm, Monday thru Friday. I-25 Southbound (only) bridge over Menaul Boulevard various lane closures starting with inside left lanes beginning: Friday Aug. 5, at 9 p.m. –Mon. Aug. 8 at 5 a.m. No ramp closures. Motorists expect delays. Digital message boards in place directing motorists around lane closures. NMDOT and Contractor, Truesdell Corp. will continue bridgework. Job #A300697. The work crews will be performing is temperature sensitive and work is heavily dependent on dry, stable conditions.
