PAYMENTS FOR DEPOSIT

Per state statute [SS 6-10-3 NMSA 1978] state agencies must deposit any and all funds received within 24 hours of receipt.  The NMDOT Financial Control Bureau is the central location that should receive all payments for deposit. All payments for deposit to NMDOT must be mailed or walked into the address below. Payments must be submitted with a correspondence and/or other documentation supporting what the payment is for.

NMDOT Welcomes Public Input on U.S. 380 Corridor Improvement Study Meeting (on-line)

ROSWELL – The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) are hosting a public information meeting on the U.S. 380 proposed corridor improvement study.  Members of the public from New Mexico and Texas are invited to attend the meeting.  The purpose of the meeting is to share proposed alternatives for the corridor and gather public comments. 

The meeting will take place on-line: 

  • Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at 5:30 p.m.

The study team representatives will present and provide an update on the study, which includes an engineering and environmental analysis on the corridor’s existing conditions and proposed alternatives.  The introduction will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by a presentation at 5:40 p.m. with questions and comments immediately after.

REPEAL AND REPLACEMENT OF 17.4.2 NMAC

The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT or the Department) gives notice of its proposed adoption of rulemaking to repeal and replace 17.4.2 NMAC, requirements for occupancy of state highway system right-ofway by utility facilities. The rules that may be adopted as the final rules in this proceeding may include all, part, or none of the language in the proposed rules issued by the Department.

Written initial comments shall be filed no later than March 26, 2021 and response comments shall be filed no later than April 9, 2021. 

A public hearing will be held on April 23, 2021 at 1:00 p.m., which shall be accomplished through Zoom. Instructions on how to connect will be posted prior to the hearing.
